  12. To locate the MindSpring software:

  16. 1. Click on the "Start" menu.

  18. 2. Select "Find."
  19.  
  20. 3. Select "Files and Folders."

  22. 4. When the find window appears, type Mindspring into the "Named:" field.

  24. 5. In the "Look In:" field, select your CD-Rom Drive (Usually the D: drive).

  26. 6. Click on the "Find Now" button.

  28. 7. When the results appear, double-click on the MindSpring folder.

  32. To install the MindSpring software:

  36. 1. Double-click the setup.exe program in the Mindspring folder.

  38. 2. When the CD install window appears, select "Full Install."

  40. 3. When the installation window appears click "Next."

  42. 4. Read and accept the MindSpring Service agreement.

  44. 5. Select a destination folder for the MindSpring software. (If you are unsure where to install the software, use the default location.)

  48. 7. When the Account Information screen appears, check the box marked "Create a new MindSpring Account."

  52. 9. Click Finish to install the software.

  54. 10. When the installation is complete, click "Exit." When you click "Exit" your computer will automatically restart.

When your computer finishes restarting, the Setup Wizard program will launch and walk you through the rest of the procedure. The Setup Wizard will automatically connect to MindSpring and help you set up your new account. Be sure to make careful note of the User ID, e-mail address and passwords that you are given, in case you need them later.
